One Very Unique Roof

unique roofAs I stated before I love roofs. I drive down the street and I look at each one and try to identify it just to make sure I still ‘have it’.

I haven’t been in the field for 15 years, so I no longer schlep clay tile to job sites in million dollar neighborhoods. The million dollar neighborhoods are where you get to see the best residential roofs. (Sorry commercial roofs, your beauty is found in your details and that is an acquired taste).

Clay Roofs: Naturally Beautiful

clay roofClay roof tile is naturally beautiful. I came from a clay background and was an enthusiastic salesperson. I loved it.

I actually collected the most beautiful samples pulled out of a pallet somewhere (I’d ask, can I keep this?) and kept them in the garage. Mr. Patient, my husband, made me give them up when we moved from our first home. How cruel it was to have my collection thrown in a dumpster! Couldn’t we have found a loving home for them?
